Core Responsibilities:

  • -  Creating superb eCommerce experiences for users across multiple platforms (desktop, mobile, native apps) and stages of the customer lifecycle.
  • -  Leveraging data, usability testing, and focus groups to form a deep understanding of customer behaviors and pain points.
  • -  Developing high quality designs that balance user needs, design priorities, and business goals.
  • -  Collaborating & iterating with Product, Marketing, Creative Director, and other designers throughout the design process.
  • -  Brainstorming, planning and designing A/B tests to improve conversion and member engagement.
  • -  Prototyping designs and presenting them to business partners, users, and Engineering team members.
  • -  Partnering closely with Engineering and QA to ensure that designs deployed to production are built to spec.


Desired Skills and Experience Requirements:

  • -  5+ years of design experience in product design, UI/UX design, interaction design. eCommerce design experience required.
  • -  Educational background in interaction design, human-computer interaction, graphic design or similar.
  • -  Extensive experience designing user experiences across multiple platforms, including responsive web and native mobile.
  • -  Expert knowledge of Adobe Suite including InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator.
  • -  Basic understanding of HTML/CSS required, ability to deliver designs in production ready HTML/CSS a plus.
  • -  Well-versed in classic design principles and innovative design trends.
  • -  Accustomed to validating designs through focus groups, usability testing, and A/B testing, leveraging qualitative and quantitative feedback in the creative process.
  • -  Experience participating in internal design critiques with the ability to deliver and receive feedback and constructive criticism.
  • -  Successful track record defending decisions based on data and user-centered insights.
  • -  Able to multi-task and work in a fluid, fast-paced environment.
  • -  Obsessively detail oriented with the ability to prioritize design tasks.
